Welcome to the cosy little world of handmade Sunny Yellow SZ Candles.
Why Sunny Yellow? Because I adore the Sun, it charges me with energy.
Even as a little child, I was spellbound by exquisite and fine objects. Those you just want to silently enjoy without touching, just to feel the magic around them. My most precious possessions were not expensive objects, but small souvenirs and item given to my family with lots of love. So, as I was growing, I began creating such small gifts to surprise my loved ones with. I was sewing, created handmade cards, restored and decorated various items with decoupage technique and so many other creative DIY projects. Gifting with or without occasion.
To be frank, I take more joy in giving than receiving gifts, because I use all my imagination and positive energy to make another person happy.
So, that took me to my latest passion – candle making. I love candles and the unique atmosphere they create. In the summer of 2016, I was invited to the bachelorette party of one of my closest friends and I made candles for the evening. I thought it would be a nice (a surprise for the bride). It turned out all the ladies who were invited loved candles. My friend was blown away and she decided she wants my candles as wedding favours for all her guests. That’s how my first order came!
At that point I realised I would love to make candles for all occasions.
It’s also how Sunny Yellow was born!
But also, candles are something you don’t really need an occasion buy or give. I mean, think about it. What is a home without candles? It’s like…. like…Christmas without a tree or a birthday party without a cake. Candles are among the strongest elements in ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui as they increase the energy in a space.
Even in the distant 1900’s Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote in his book “The Little Prince”:
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; What is essential is invisible to the eye!"
